Activity #1: Review the number of bonding electrons needed for trigonal planar Activity #2: Discuss the following types of reactions: 1. Single Replacement: Activity Series 2. Double Replacement: Solutions 3. Balancing Equations: Writing non-monotamic ions (Diatomic elements: H2, N2, O2, F2, Cl2, Br2, I2; Tetratomic element: P4; Octatomic: S8) 4. *Single Replacement (Vanilla Ice) (*Use the activity series (p. 266): element must be above the ion that is going to be replaced) Activity #3: Complete Balancing Equations WS #1: 1 - 9
