Quantitative Lesson 11 "Density Lab"

Science and Technology Standards:

PA Standard 3.4.10A: Classify and describe, in equation form, types of chemical and nuclear reactions

Purpose:

1. I will recall various elements names and symbols.
2. I will identify how the density of an object can be used to determine if an object will float in water.
3. I will calculate the number of protons, neutrons, electrons, mass number, and charge for various isotopes.

Activity #1: Review elements 46 - 57, 78 - 80, 82 - 89, and 92 - 94 names
Activity #2: Review Density Lab Conclusion Question: "Which objects will float in water and why?"
Activity #3: Review Atomic WS #2
Activity #4: Complete the even Chapter 4 Review Problems 2 - 16 & 22 - 42 on pages 115 - 118
